The Goode STEM Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Perspectives-IIT/Joslin 49-12. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Goode STEM Academy in their matchups with Perspectives-IIT/Joslin: they've now lost four in a row.
Leilani Laws was her usual excellent self, scoring 29 points for Perspectives-IIT/Joslin. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Laws has scored at least 25% of Perspectives-IIT/Joslin's points. Another player making a difference was Victoria Robinson, who scored six points.
Goode STEM Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Perspectives-IIT/Joslin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.
Goode STEM Academy will head out on the road to face off against Kennedy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Perspectives-IIT/Joslin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Juarez at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Juarez comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
