Lafayette is a perfect 10-0 against West Point since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Commodores will square off against the Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. Lafayette will be strutting in after a victory while West Point will be coming in after a loss.
Lafayette is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Hernando with a sharp 19-6 win on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Commodores considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Lafayette got a great performance from Brett Williams as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Williams has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Tanner Harris was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in February of 2025. Gunner Atkinson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Lafayette always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .614. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
West Point couldn't beat Starkville on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Green Wave fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 9-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Green Wave in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost nine in a row.
West Point saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Colvin, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another was J'Michael Strong, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Lafayette is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for West Point, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
Lafayette got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against West Point by a conclusive 14-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Commodores since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
