The Berean Christian Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Leonard Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Berean Christian knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Leonard likes a good challenge.
On Monday, Berean Christian earned a 14-11 victory over Atlantic Christian.
Julianne Severson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero). She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, Lillian Severson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Severson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. Mila Britton also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Berean Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .512 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Leonard didn't have quite enough to beat Olympic Heights on Thursday and fell 19-18. The Lancers haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Leonard got a massive performance out of Arianna Sheerer, who scored four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Meghan Stimson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
Berean Christian's record is now 4-0. As for Leonard, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Berean Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 10 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Leonard struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Berean Christian took their win against Leonard in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 21-13. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berean Christian since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
