Logan is 1-0 against Dixie since November of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Logan Grizzlies will head out on the road to face off against the Dixie Flyers at 5:00 p.m. Logan is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Two weeks ago, Logan was the victim of a tough 39-15 defeat at the hands of Green Canyon. Logan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-7.
Meanwhile, Dixie took a serious blow against Crimson Cliffs two weeks ago, falling 56-14. While losing is never fun, Dixie can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Crimson Cliffs is ranked seventh).
Dixie's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jaxon Barben, who picked up 93 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Dixie's defensive line still kept up the pressure with 3.5 sacks. Leading the way was Anthony Crichton and his 2.5 sacks.
The losses dropped Logan to 2-7 and Dixie to 4-6.
Logan was able to grind out a solid win over Dixie in their previous matchup back in November of 2015, winning 26-15. Will Logan repeat their success, or does Dixie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
