The Blair Blazers and the Walter Johnson Wildcats squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Blair Blazers had to settle for second. Blair received a tough blow as they fell 21-7 to Walter Johnson. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, Blair couldn't push the score so high this time.
Despite the defeat, Blair had strong showings from Junior Rodriguez, who rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown, and Quinn Stofa, who threw for 106 yards on nine of 21 attempts.
Blair has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Walter Johnson, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.
Blair does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Walter Johnson will square off against Bethesda-Chevy Chase at TBD on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Bethesda-Chevy Chase is ranked 77th, while Walter Johnson is ranked 60th).
