The San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy Eagles were the 49-43 winner over the Ysleta Indians when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy took a 38-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ysleta on Thursday. San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Ysleta to victory were Azaiah Thompson and Jayden Herrera. Thompson dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Herrera dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds. The game was Thompson's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ysleta, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy is on the road again on Friday and play against Brandeis at 9:00 a.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Brandeis focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. As for Ysleta, they will face off against Permian at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
