Highland Prep West kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 39-7 loss at the hands of the Valley Christian Trojans.
Valley Christian found their leader in sophomore Abigail Trillo, who threw for 191 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.7% of her passes.
Highland Prep West wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-7 victory against Apache Junction on the 18th. As for Valley Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 41-0 win against Leading Edge Academy - GEC on the 18th.
