Lafayette Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bruno Tellez out in front who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 4 assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Tellez has scored at least a third of Lafayette Christian's points. Joshua Zapata was another key contributor, scoring 29 points along with two steals.
Central Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Seth Rivers, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Landon Brooking, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Central Christian struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lafayette Christian racked up 15 assists.
Lafayette Christian's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. As for Central Christian, they will be playing at home against Harvester Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Harvester Christian Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 65.5 points per game.
