Pamlico Christian Academy has gone a perfect 3-0 against Unity Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Mariners will take on the Warriors in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pamlico Christian Academy has three straight wins, Unity Christian Academy has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Pamlico Christian Academy barely beat Jacksonville Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mariners simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Conquerors 60-33. The Mariners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Unity Christian Academy played a tough contest last Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 66-28 defeat at the hands of Terra Ceia Christian. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 490th, while the Knights are ranked 122nd).

Pamlico Christian Academy will need to focus on slowing down Jake Whitehurst, one of several Unity Christian Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 13 points and three steals. Mason Paul also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

The victory got Pamlico Christian Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Unity Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
