The Claremont Wolfpack's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 79-26 defeat at the hands of Glendora. Claremont has not had much luck with Glendora recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Claremont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Silas Mascarin, who scored nine points.
Claremont has been struggling recently, as they've lost 16 of their last 17 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season. As for Glendora, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 19-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Claremont will face off against Colony at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colony is on a four-game streak of home losses, Claremont a 16-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Glendora's road trip will continue as they head out to face Alta Loma at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Alta Loma will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 780th, while Glendora is ranked 152nd).
