 South Lake's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB  five times. In that department,  DeAngelo Zeigler was the leader with three sacks. Another thorn in New Haven's side was  Titus Marshall Jr, who picked up  a  sack and made nine total tackles (1.0 for loss).
 Meanwhile, Eastpointe was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight  defeat. They had to suffer through a   62-0 loss at the hands of Clintondale.
 South Lake's victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-0. As for Eastpointe, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 South Lake couldn't quite finish off Eastpointe in their previous meeting  back in October of 2017 and fell  23-20. Can South Lake avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
