The Hilltop Cadets lost against the North Central Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Hilltop suffered a rough 71-47 defeat at the hands of North Central.
North Central can attribute much of their success to Joe Burt, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Hicks, who scored 15 points.
Hilltop's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-1. As for North Central, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.
Hilltop will be playing in front of their home fans against Stryker at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. North Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fort Jennings at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th.
