 Meanwhile, Sharpsville fought the good fight in their overtime  contest against Wilmington  on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of  2-1. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now lost four in a row.
 Hickory pushed their record up to 5-1 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home. As for Sharpsville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
