Looper  went 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Lanning  scored four  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Looper is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last four games he's  played.  Cole Smith was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Marion's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-3. As for Ell-Saline, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-6.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Marion beat Ell-Saline by a score of  14-2 later that day.
