Basketball Recap: Carbon Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Rylee Butler and Jacie Jensen

Carbon lost against Richfield back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Carbon Dinos took a hard 48-32 fall against the Richfield Wildcats.

Despite the defeat, Carbon had strong showings from Jacie Jensen, who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points and three steals, and Rylee Butler, who posted six points. The dominant performance gave Butler a new career-high in points.

Abbee Albrecht continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Richfield, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Jordyn Bagley was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Carbon's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Richfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Carbon has already played their next matchup, a 56-32 defeat against Manti on the 28th. As for Richfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-52 victory against North Sanpete on the 28th.
