Hopewell had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Berry Cardinals 20-2. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.
Ellie Wicks made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Wicks was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Hopewell let Kori West and Emma Hubert run wild. West went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Hubert went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
