The Trico Pioneers can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 49-37 victory over New Athens. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Trico has managed all season.
When it comes to explaining why New Athens lost, one person who can't be blamed is Isaiah Lintker. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Lintker scored a full 51.4% of New Athens' points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Trico's victory ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-6. As for New Athens, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
