The Lyndhurst Golden Bears will head out on the road to square off against the Cresskill Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lyndhurst focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Lyndhurst didn't have too much trouble with the Lions on the road as they won 58-39. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lyndhurst.
It was another big night for Brooke Harper, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Asya Akar, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Cresskill's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell to Rutherford 43-37.
Lyndhurst has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Cresskill, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7-1.
Lyndhurst might still be hurting after the 57-36 defeat they got from the Cougars when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Lyndhurst avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
