The Appling Christian Academy Eagles were the 57-42 winner over the Heritage Christian Academy Eagles when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Appling Christian Academy received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 54-40 to the Eagles. Appling Christian Academy was down 44-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Xzayvier Anderson, who scored 18 points along with two steals. Alex Coursey was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.
Appling Christian Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Heritage Christian Academy, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10.
Appling Christian Academy and the will face off at 12:00 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Varsity Opponent has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since February 2. Heritage Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
