Sawyer Waugh made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Bear LaSelle was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Conrad Schmidt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
The Master's Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Family Academy only posted an OBP of .000.
Meanwhile, Pinnacle Classical Academy had just enough and edged out Piedmont Community Charter 4-3 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.
The team relied heavily on Jake McNeily, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
