There's no place like home for the Avella Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They secured a 57-53 W over Bentworth on Friday. This was payback for Avella, who suffered a 66-50 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Bentworth's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lucas Burt, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ben Hays, who scored 12 points.
The victory got Avella back to even at 2-2. As for Bentworth, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Avella will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Freedom Area at 7:30 p.m. As for Bentworth, they will head out on the road to face off against South Side at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
