The Manchester Blue Devils and the Bowdon Red Devils squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Manchester Blue Devils had to settle for second. They and the Red Devils were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered an agonizing 28-27 defeat. Manchester's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Kyler Mcgrinn was his usual excellent self, rushing for 221 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 60 yards and a touchdown while completing 77.8% of his passes for Bowdon. Mcgrinn hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games.
Manchester's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3. As for Bowdon, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Manchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bowdon also has no future games currently scheduled.
