There's no place like home for the Withrow Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Springfield 65-34 at home. With that victory, Withrow brought their scoring average up to 51 points per game.
Withrow found their leader in underclassman Chris Henry, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. The match was Henry's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Rochelle, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Withrow's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6-1. As for Springfield, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Withrow will face off against Trotwood-Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trotwood-Madison presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Withrow in Ohio (Trotwood-Madison is ranked 71st, while Withrow is ranked 428th). As for Springfield, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Xavier at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Xavier is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
