Volleyball Recap: Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sacramento Waldorf last Tuesday, Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning came back down to earth. The Fire Wolves lost 3-0 to the Westlake Charter Explorers on Wednesday. The Fire Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Explorers earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-17.

Toby Richard paced Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning's offense, picking up eight kills. Richard got some help from Christian McKnight and his 15 assists.

Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Westlake Charter, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Victory Christian on the 3rd. As for Westlake Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Rio Linda on the 4th.
