Oyster Bay is 0-10 against Carle Place since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Oyster Bay Baymen will head out on the road to face off against the Carle Place Frogs at 7:00 p.m.
Oyster Bay's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Wednesday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They fell just short of East Rockaway by a score of 31-29. Oyster Bay has struggled against East Rockaway recently, as their match last Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Carle Place waltzed into their match Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 41-30 victory over Locust Valley.
Carle Place's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Milana D'alessandro, who scored 12 points. D'alessandro is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlin Leary, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Oyster Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Carle Place, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.
Oyster Bay was dealt a bruising 55-19 loss at the hands of Carle Place in their previous matchup back in January. Thankfully for Oyster Bay, Jenna Cavallaro (who scored 16 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
