After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lone Grove, the Valliant Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 53-41 victory over Tushka. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Valliant also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Tushka still got an impressive performance from Tagen Simon, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The matchup was Simon's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Alberda, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Tushka struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Valliant's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Tushka, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valliant will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Battiest at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Tushka, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Stringtown at 8:00 p.m. Stringtown and Tushka are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
