Happy is 0-3 against Westbrook since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Happy Cowboys will head out on the road to face off against the Westbrook Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a 12-game winning streak alive.
Happy had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Miami by a score of 30-22 on Friday.
Meanwhile, Westbrook can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They blew past Borden County 110-65 on the road. Yes, you read that score correctly, and yes, they were playing football.
Westbrook relied on the efforts of Grayson Jeffrey, who rushed for 231 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per carry, and Keegan Gilbreath, who gained 380 total yards and six touchdowns. Gilbreath's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. Aiden Sullivan was in the mix too, providing Westbrook with two touchdowns.
Happy pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Westbrook, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
Happy came up short against Westbrook in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 40-30. Thankfully for Happy, Cedric Ware (who rushed for 174 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
