It was a good run, but The Colts Neck Cougars unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 49-7 loss at the hands of Mainland Regional. The low total for Colts Neck limited their streak of high-flying scores to four in a row.
Despite the loss, Colts Neck still got an impressive performance from Chris Scully, who rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown. Scully is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played.
Colts Neck's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Mainland Regional, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Colts Neck does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mainland Regional will square off against Millville at TBD on Friday. Millville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
