The Andover Golden Warriors entered their tilt with the Franklin Panthers with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Andover didn't even let Franklin onto the board and left with a 19-0 win on Friday. Given Andover's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Franklin is ranked 42nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The critical scores for Andover came from Chris Dessin and Dante Berger.
Andover's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points per game. As for Franklin, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Andover will be playing at home against Weymouth at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin is on the road again on Thursday and play against Natick at 6:30 p.m. on November 9th.
