The Redmond Mustangs pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Bellevue 59-55. Redmond was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bellevue apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Redmond still got an impressive performance from Iha Kasam, who scored 25 points. Kasam scored a full 45.5% of Redmond's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Isabel Schneider, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Redmond were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Redmond bumped their record down to 4-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Bellevue, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.
Redmond will challenge Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jackson is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. Bellevue's road trip will continue as they head out to face Dos Pueblos at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th.
