 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Charlee Smith, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  double.  Ava Coleman was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, the  victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-8-1.
 Houston has the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome White Station at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. White Station knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy  run totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Houston likes a good challenge. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, they will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Brighton at 5:30  p.m.
