The Kamiak Knights will venture away from home to take on the Arlington Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kamiak will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Kamiak will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Jackson, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Knights blew past the Timberwolves 6-0 on Monday. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Synclair Mawudeku made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, Riley Karabach was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.
Meanwhile, Arlington earned a 7-2 win over Marysville Getchell on Friday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly five runs.
Peyton Aanstad spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 17 Ks. Those 17 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Morgan Miller, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Strothman, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double.
Arlington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Kamiak's record is now 9-3. As for Arlington, their record now sits at 6-7.
Arlington's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kamiak hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .360. It's a different story for Arlington, though, as they've only averaged .234. Will they be able to contain Kamiak's hitters?
Kamiak got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Arlington by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
