Given Heritage Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while South Pointe is ranked 48th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Mission Heights Prep was beaten by Imagine Prep 42-14 on Friday. Mission Heights Prep has struggled against Imagine Prep recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Although Mission Heights Prep took the loss, they still got scores from AJ Pickett and Cade Riggs.
Heritage Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-4 South Pointe and 2-6 Heritage Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 35.6% over those games). As for Mission Heights Prep, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Heritage Academy against Mission Heights Prep in their previous matchup back in October as the team secured a 49-0 win.
