The Briarcrest Christian Saints scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 66-26 victory over St. Mary's Episcopal at home. Briarcrest Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Hallie Turner, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten assists. That's the first time this season that she posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeleine Lowrance, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Briarcrest Christian pushed their record up to 12-10 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for St. Mary's Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Briarcrest Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Benedict at Auburndale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Mary's Episcopal, they will head out on the road to square off against Hutchison at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hutchison is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
