It was a good run, but Grace Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cypress Christian.
Grace Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Richmond McIver, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. The match was McIver's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Graves Erskine, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Grace Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Cypress Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-13.
Grace Academy is on the road again on Thursday and play against San Juan Diego Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. San Juan Diego Catholic will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Cypress Christian and IDEA Bluff Springs will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at. IDEA Bluff Springs is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
