Basketball Recap: Donahue Catholic Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Donahue Catholic entered their tilt with The Village School of Naples on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 56-47 win over The Village School of Naples Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Shamrocks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Donahue Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Timothy Gawron led the charge by putting up eight points in addition to 12 boards and four steals. Those eight points gave Gawron a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isaac Loboda, who posted 15 points and five rebounds.

Donahue Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.
