McCormick has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Emerald Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully McCormick focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
Last Friday, McCormick didn't have too much trouble with Saluda at home as they won 60-42.
McCormick's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Terrence Cartledge, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Darius Houston, who scored 21 points along with 5 steals. Bryson Bell was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Emerald didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Crescent two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 49-45 victory.
Among those leading the charge was Caleb Benson, who scored 12 points.
McCormick's win bumped their season record to 3-1 while Saluda's defeat dropped theirs to 0-3.
McCormick suffered a grim 65-41 defeat to Emerald when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can McCormick avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
