Trimble extended their winning streak to nine on Wednesday, bumping them up to 15-6. Everything went their way against the Waterford Wildcats as they made off with a 10-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Tomcats, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Jessa Davis was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Olivia Kasler was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Daisy Harvey was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Trimble kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
As for Waterford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-19. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 16-2 Southern (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 80.2% over those games).
On Waterford's side, Shaeli Hayes made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Vada Stout, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Coming up, Trimble will take on Southern at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waterford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
