Tripp Rosenberger tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Brandon Curl was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Ryland Sander was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Edgewater put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Deltona. The Eagles blew past the Wolves 8-0. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Max Anderson made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Edgewater is 5-2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 6-11 otherwise. Anderson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
In other pitching news, Isaiah Thomas looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Edgewater's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 3-1 (and 8-12-1 when he doesn't).
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Sean Baker, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Edgewater: the team is 6-1-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Benfer, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Winter Springs' victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Edgewater, their win bumped their record up to 11-13-1.
Everything went Winter Springs' way against Edgewater when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Winter Springs made off with a 10-1 victory. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
