Meanwhile, Perquimans can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They never let North East Carolina Prep onto the board and left with a 15-0 win. Winning may never get old, but Perquimans sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Cameron Goodrow made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also didn't allow any walks). Goodrow was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases.
In other pitching news, Evan Conway looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (he also only allowed one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive pitching appearances.
Back at the plate, Perquimans got a massive performance out of Ben Brown, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Sean Saunders was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Bertie's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Perquimans, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
