The Killingly Redmen were the 49-32 winner over the Windham Whippets when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Killingly had to suffer through a rough 61-32 loss at the hands of the Whippets. Killingly has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Windham's win on Monday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Asihja Harris, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Flores, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Killingly dropped their record down to 7-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Windham, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.
Killingly won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Windham, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Whalers at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. New London is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
