That's another feather in the cap for 21st Century Charter, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
21st Century Charter was led to victory by Terrence Hayes and Lemetrius "Meachy" Williams. Hayes scored 27 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds, while Williams dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hayes has scored at least 25% of 21st Century Charter's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ron Mosely, who scored 18 points along with 3 steals.
Roosevelt Franklin and Carmello Howard certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Franklin scored 19 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds, while Howard dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Malique Starks was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
The win got 21st Century Charter back to even at 1-1. As for Indianapolis Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
21st Century Charter will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bowman Academy at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Bowman Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Monday. As for Indianapolis Washington, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
