The First Academy might have lost, but man, Lorenzo De jesus was a machine: he scored 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals. De jesus has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Simmons, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 80-43 win over Cocoa Beach on the road. The victory was nothing new for Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.
The First Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 19-6.
The First Academy came up short against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in their previous matchup back in January, falling 68-55. Can The First Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
