The Menaul Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. Their rough 63-42 loss to Sandia Prep might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Menaul has suffered yet this season.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brayden Chavez, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Hieu Nguyen was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Menaul has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Sandia Prep, their win bumped their record up to 2-10.
