The Hickory Grove Christian Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Westminster Catawba Christian Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickory Grove Christian is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
Hickory Grove Christian lost 3-0 to Metrolina Christian Academy on Thursday.
The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18, 25-14.
Meanwhile, Westminster Catawba Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Concord Academy on Thursday and fell 3-2. While the Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-21 in the first set.
Westminster Catawba Christian actually scored more points across those five sets (102-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-25, 15-12.
Westminster Catawba Christian now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Hickory Grove Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Hickory Grove Christian has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Westminster Catawba Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.5 aces.
