The MacArthur Brahmas will head out on the road to challenge the McCollum Cowboys at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. MacArthur will be strutting in after a win while McCollum will be coming in after a defeat.
If MacArthur beats McCollum with ten runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Everything went the Brahmas' way against Southwest Legacy on Friday as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Brahmas as they're now sitting on three straight.

Korey Alston made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, MacArthur let Diego Morillo and Cohen Mayfield run wild. Morillo scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Mayfield scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Mayfield is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of J.T. Gray, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, McCollum's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 7-1 to South San Antonio.
McCollum saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Sanchez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
McCollum's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for MacArthur, their record is now 12-6.
McCollum's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: MacArthur hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. It's a different story for McCollum, though, as they've only averaged .250. Will they be able to contain MacArthur's hitters?
MacArthur was able to grind out a solid victory over McCollum in their previous matchup back in March, winning 13-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Brahmas since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
