The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brookfield Academy has scored all season.
Brookfield Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amelia Rigel, who scored 11 points. That was a full 36.7% of Brookfield Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Madison York was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Brookfield Academy dropped their record down to 9-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Luther Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Brookfield Academy will be playing at home against the Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Luther Prep, they will head out on the road to take on the Timberwolves at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Living Word Lutheran will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
