Morgan County is 7-0 against Harlem since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. After soaring to a 39-point victory in their last game, Morgan County came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of Cross Creek by a score of 41-38. Morgan County's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Morgan County got a solid performance out of Jaden Young, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kymora Smith, who scored five points along with three steals.
Harlem suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 57-36 walloping at the hands of Academy of Richmond County. Harlem has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Morgan County's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9. As for Harlem, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Morgan County was able to grind out a solid victory over Harlem when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 59-47. Does Morgan County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harlem turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
