Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alameda). They took down the STEM School Highlands Ranch Spartans 61-45 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their 28-point performance the match before.

Despite the loss, STEM School Highlands Ranch still got an impressive performance from Avi Thakkar, who went 9 of 18 en route to 22 points and three steals. What's more, Thakkar also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Braden Calme, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

Alameda's win bumped their record up to 2-12. As for STEM School Highlands Ranch, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Coming up, Alameda will take on Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Alameda has lost four straight at home , while Jefferson has lost five on the road. As for STEM School Highlands Ranch, they will face off against Nederland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
