Rustburg came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Heritage, but Tailor Coles wouldn't allow it. The Heritage Pioneers snuck past the Rustburg Red Devils with a 44-38 victory on Friday thanks in part to Coles, who posted eight points along with ten boards and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games she's played.

Rustburg's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samiyah Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. Olivia Tyree was another key player, putting up eight points.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Rustburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Heritage has already played their next game, a 41-28 defeat against George Washington on the 10th. As for Rustburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-6 victory against Randolph-Henry on the 10th.
